About me

I was born in 1986 in Önnestad. That’s a small village outside Kristianstad. I was actually born on the hospital in Kristianstad. Önnestad is from the old Scanian Æhnestat which translates to a deserted village. It was founded in the middle ages. The church, pictured below, is from the 11th century. Back then the ground on which Kristianstad is located was a swamp. In 1612 Önnestad was burned to the ground by the Swedes. Two years later, the Danish king Christian IV decided to build a fort in the swamp. He named it after himself. The Swedes took it some years later. The king never got to visit the fort. A few years later the Danish Army rested in or near Önnestad, before retreating from Skåne for the last time. Other than that, very little is known about the village.

Not much is known about me, either. I studied mathematics and physics at the University of Warwick but dropped out after two years. Instead I became a medical doctor specializing in psychiatry to help and treat people in need. My favorite author at the moment is Svetlana Alexievich. Secondhand Time is the most harrowing and interesting book I’ve ever read. I have two daughters and live with my girlfriend in the greater Copenhagen area.
